Fitzroy Gardens

The Fitzroy Gardens trip had 42 members enjoy the mild spring weather and do a self-guided tour through the gardens.

Unfortunately the Conservatory was closed, but a peek through the windows saw the gardeners updating the magnificent display.
Throughout the gardens spring was putting on a colourful show with mass plantings of cliveas, daffodils (finishing up for the year) and blue bells, with the forest pansy trees (Cercis) drawing attention to its unique flowers on its trunks.  The elm trees were yet to wake up from their winter slumber.
Many relived past trips to the gardens and sought out the fairy tree and miniature village.

A lovely lunch was at the RACV Club in the city and we were able to see the old traffic lights and police car.
