On Thursday 8 December 2022, on a cold and cloudy day, 35 members set off for our annual Christmas celebration.
Due to renovations at Pinewood Nursery in Glen Waverley, the nursery to be visited was changed to Branch Out, Warrandyte Rd, Ringwood Nth. The nursery had a large variety of plants and many purchases were made, both for the home garden and for Christmas gifts.
We then proceeded to Churchill-Waverley Golf Club, Rowville for a delicious 2 course Christmas lunch with a choice of a glass of still/sparkling wine or cappuccino included.
Birthday wishes were extended to 3 members celebrating their birthdays in December, in particular to Gareth, celebrating 95 years young on the 24 December.
Members also received the Program for 2023 which listed an exciting program to look forward to.
After an enjoyable lunch and the bus luggage compartment fully laden with colourful plants, we made our trip back to Camberwell with a sunny afternoon and blue skies.
A big thankyou to Helen for organising the venue and nursery for today’s outing.
