Heronswood & Mornington Community Gardens

Thursday, 19 October, 2017

The weather gods cleared the rain as 53 members arrived at Heronswood with the house and gardens dating back to 1864. The devonshire tea was delicious in the surroundings of the old building. The garden grounds were delightful and people were also tempted by the gift shop.

Lunch at Kirks at Mornington was excellent with a view over the water.

At the Mornington Community Gardens, we had a tour and admired the different plots and the wonderful colourful scarecrows. The plants on sale were wonderful value.
A full and wonderful day was had by all.
