Our guest speaker was from Botanica World Discoveries, and we watched beautiful photographs of gardens from around the world, including Australia and New Zealand.

We heard how gardens reflect the personalities of their owners and how English gardens differ from French and Italian.  We saw private gardens enclosed by walls and inside old castle gardens, reinstated to their former glory.

Many of our plants come from these countries – South Africa, China, Japan etc. Two of the most beautiful views were the Laburnum Walk behind Kew Palace and RHS Wisely Wisteria walk in spring – spectacular!

Also Monet’s garden with red geraniums, Villa Ruffolo on the Amalfi Coast, and the Cherry Blossom in Japan, which lasts two weeks at most.  This speaker would like to return to show the club a DVD.
